1. Equipment
Senga uses the industry's top technologies to create Smart Solar Systems.
We connect what's called an optimizer to each solar panel, turning them into smart panels. This method increases energy output from the solar system by constantly tracking the maximum power of each panel. This allows the system to monitor the performance of each panel and communicate it to the monitoring platform.
2. Net Energy Metering
Net energy metering (NEM) measures the difference between the electricity your solar system generates and the amount of electricity the utility supplies.
Your utility company will automatically supply additional power to your home when needed -- day or night. When your solar system generates more electricity than your home can use, the surplus exports to the electric grid.
In other words, NEM stores the excess electricity your solar system produces on the grid and supplies it when you need it.
3. True-up
As part of the NEM program, you will be placed on a 12-month billing cycle with your utility company. This is beneficial because your solar system will produce excess amounts of electricity during certain months and insufficient amounts during others.
Each month you'll receive a statement showing your year-to-date electricity charges and solar credits.
After 12 months, you'll receive a True-Up Statement. This provides the net energy charges and credits over the entire year and shows any final balance or credits that may be due.
